The beginning of the rest of my life...

Wow, this officially is the first message of many... On this blog, I will try to tell everyone of you about my adventures at MUWCI. MUWCI?
It stands for 'Mahindra United World College India', one of the thirteen United World Colleges. The goal of these United World Colleges (UWC) is to unite people from all over the world, to show that it is possible that people with different cultures, religions, social backgrounds and so on, live together. UWC students want to make a better place of the world, as well on the side of intercultural understanding as on the ecological side. I definitely am very proud to say that I'll be one of the UWC-students 2013-2015 (yes, two years!).
I'm very happy with this college. MUWCI is situated between Mumbai and Pune, in western India. I've been told that it is such a beautiful place, in a country with huge differents. I will find out about that myself and report you on my experiences. Above that, I'll have the best secondyear (she left for India in september 2012 and is there for almost a year yet), a really friendly girl who helped me a lot already!
I'm looking forward to this experience, but at the same time, I will miss my life here in Belgium a lot. My friends, my hobbies, my school, my family,... Leaving this all will be hard, but I'll get a lot in return. And I will be back with Christmas for a month and three months in the summer, so nothing to be sad about!
